Micah 6:8 He hath shown thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
This site exists because....
1. we believe hostile, partisan rhetoric is destructive to both sides -- spiritually, emotionally and physically -- and is itself sinful.
2. we believe justice and respect is a Godly response to all people and is a mandate for His followers.
3. we believe respect for fellow human beings, including those with whom we disagree, honours the Creator in whose image we are made.
4. we believe genuine respect contributes to a spiritual environment which is more conducive for all, including those who experience same gender attraction, to experience God's love.
5. we believe those of us who hold conservative morals with regards to sexual expression must speak out with equal moral strength on behalf of justice for all persons who experience same gender attraction.
6. we are grieved at seeing our own children, brothers and sisters struggle under devastating burdens of silence, rejection and shame borne in isolation.
7. we believe there need be no inconsistency between conservative sexual ethics and the genuine extension of justice and respect to all persons.
Rom. 3:10-19 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: Their feet are swift to shed blood: Destruction and misery are in their ways: And the way of peace have they not known: There is no fear of God before their eyes.
Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
Forgive me, Lord, for my sins of omission in failing to speak out more passionately and strongly on behalf of those who are battered and slain!!!
Isa. 59:14-16 And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.
Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment.
And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.
